STUDENT SERVICE PROGRAM (SSP)
The Student Service Program (SSP) is a tutoring program available to all undergraduate Faculty of Music students. The SSP program offers support in academic areas including theory, history, dictation/skills, & writing projects in both the Classical and Jazz streams. Our program also offers support in assisting with job applications, developing performance skills, tips/tricks for building an effective practice routine, and many more!
Drop-In Schedule (FALL 2025)

Friday 10 - 12 pm @ EJB Keyboard Lab with Victoria

Meet Our Tutors

Peter Min
Peter Min is a conductor currently pursuing his master’s degree in orchestral conducting at the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Uri Mayer. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, with a double major in music composition and theory. Having studied with the distinguished Canadian composer Brian Cherney, Peter takes a special interest in studying and performing Canadian repertoire and new music by living composers. Prior to pursuing his musical passions, Peter obtained a pharmacy degree from the University of Alberta and has been practicing as a pharmacist since 2018.

Emma C. Tanovich
Emma C. Tanovich (née Moss) is a Czech-Canadian orchestral conductor and music academic. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Toronto, supported by a SSHRC CGS-D Fellowship, Victor Feldbrill Award, and U of T Graduate Fellowship. She has worked with renowned conductors such as Uri Mayer, Tania Miller, Pinchas Zukerman, Daniel Raiskin, Jean-Marie Zeitouni, and Kenneth Kiesler. Emma has served as Assistant Conductor with the National Academy Orchestra of Canada, Oakville Symphony, and Pax Christi Chorale, and has appeared as a guest conductor with the Winnipeg Symphony and Medomak Symphony. In 2025, she will join the Orchestre Métropolitain Conducting Academy under the tutelage of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. A Junior Fellow at Massey College, her research focuses on performance implications of hypermetric interpretation and Russian orchestral style in the mid- to late 19th century. Alongside her professional work, Emma has taught theory and musicianship privately for many years and has served as a teaching assistant for many core undergraduate courses at U of T Music.

Victoria
Victoria is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Toronto, where she also completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. Her academic excellence has been recognized with numerous awards, including a graduate fellowship for her masters program, the Morris Hanisch Scholarship, and the University of Toronto Scholars Scholarship. She has completed a Piano Pedagogy Certificate within the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music in addition to her Bachelors degree. Victoria is currently a tutor for University of Toronto Faculty of Music Undergraduate Association, where she provides academic support for undergraduate students.
